Welcome to Phone Syndicate. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, retail store, and services. "Phone Syndicate" is a trading name of Digital World 4 U LTD (Company Registration No: 15624314, Registered in England & Wales). By purchasing from us, selling to us, or using our retail, repair, or business IT services, you agree to the following terms designed to ensure a transparent, premium experience.
1. Sell Your Device
- Evaluation & Accuracy: All online or verbal quotes are estimates based on the condition described. Final valuations are strictly subject to an in-store physical and diagnostic inspection.
- Proof of Ownership: To prevent fraud, a valid photographic ID may be required to sell a device to us. We check all IMEI numbers against national databases (CheckMEND). Stolen devices will be reported to the authorities.
- Data Removal: Sellers are strictly responsible for backing up their data and logging out of all cloud accounts (e.g., iCloud, Google) before the sale. Devices locked to iCloud or MDM (Mobile Device Management) will not be purchased.
- Finality: Once the device is inspected, the price is agreed upon, and payment is issued, the sale is completely final.
2. Buy Devices
- Device Condition: All pre-owned devices are rigorously tested and graded. Customers are encouraged to inspect devices fully upon collection.
- The Syndicate Warranty: We provide a standard warranty on purchased devices covering inherent hardware faults. This warranty is immediately voided by: accidental physical damage (e.g., dropped devices, cracked screens), liquid/water damage, or unauthorized third-party repairs after purchase.
- Returns: Returns are only accepted in accordance with our stated warranty policy if a device develops a covered fault. We do not accept returns for "change of mind" on pre-owned devices purchased in-store.
3. Repair & IT Support Services
- Pre-Repair Assessment: We provide an estimated cost and timeframe before commencing any work. However, if our technicians discover secondary or "hidden" damage once the device is opened (e.g., internal water corrosion), we will pause the repair and contact you with a revised quote before proceeding.
- Data Liability: While we take the utmost care with your hardware, repairs inherently carry a risk of data loss. Customers must back up their data before handing over a device. Digital World 4 U LTD holds zero liability for any lost photos, contacts, or business data during the repair process.
- Repair Warranty: We stand by our craftsmanship. Repairs come with a limited warranty specific to the part replaced. This warranty does not cover subsequent physical drops, water damage, or issues unrelated to the specific repair performed.
- Unclaimed Devices: Devices left in our care for more than 60 days after the repair is completed (and the customer has been notified) will be securely wiped and recycled or sold to recover repair costs.
- B2B IT Services: For business clients utilizing our Managed IT or hardware lifecycle services, specific SLAs (Service Level Agreements) will supersede these general terms where agreed in writing.
4. Telecoms & Third-Party Contracts
- Affiliate Services: Phone Syndicate may act as a lead generator or affiliate for third-party network providers (e.g., Vodafone, Three). We do not directly issue credit or network contracts.
- Liability: All mobile airtime contracts, finance agreements, and credit checks initiated through our portal are fulfilled directly by the respective network provider. Digital World 4 U LTD accepts no liability for network coverage, billing disputes, or contract decisions made by these third parties.
